experience nature in the Rauriser valley with all its side valleys. Here you'll find the largest and most beautiful hiking area of the national

park Hohe Tauern. High alpine hiking or relaxed meadow walks, there's suitable terrain for all.

Besides gold washing, the primaeval forest and the valley of the vultures are unique in the Rauriser valley. Besides hiking, one can also

experience nature by mountain bike or horse back. More than once a week tours are organized.

Bird show

with the 'Rauriser Hochalmbahnen' cable car lift you reach the bird show at the 'Hochalm' within a few minutes. The normally very shy owls,

stone eagles and falcons are presented here from very nearby in the impressive setting of the national park. In the approximately forty

minute show you are informed about the life and habits of these birds of which

some are threatened with extinction.
